Fame Again
Westmorland Wolverines put up a season high 60 points (behind 3 TDs from Anquan Boldin and 2 by Adrian Peterson) as Mark moved to the top of the Conference in his attempt to “complete the cabinet”. It’s the ninth time he has visited the Marble Halls joining Wayne for the most visits ever and 60 is his highest ever weekly haul.
Cooper boys wait 346 weeks for double first
After 190 weeks in the BUMS Marcus finally visits the Scoring Hall of Fame and becomes the 16th owner in. His 54 point week also lifted him from 10th in the Premiership to first place prior to the Monday Night Game. Marcus lost the top spot just 11 minutes into the game when Greg Jennings caught a TD pass and he was passed by his brother who sits atop the Premiership after week 3 of the season. Aaron has been in the BUMS 156 weeks and this is his first week leading the Premiership.

The shortlist of nominees for the 2010 Hall of Fame is attached with 12 players and coaches up for consideration. Since 2002 we’ve inducted 35 players. And now it’s time to put 4 more players into the Marbled Halls based on 3 criteria; scoring, impact and enjoyment provided.. Attached are the resumes for the dozen nominated men. Select your favourite 5 players (in order) and get them back to me by Sunday October 17th , which is Trading Day 1. Losing A Legend
Sadly one of the NFL’s greats passed away on Monday. George Blanda died at the age of 83. He played in the NFL across 4 decades and a record 26 years. He started in 1949 as the Bears QB and kicker and retired a Raider one month before his 49th birthday before the 1976 season still plying both positions. He was elected into the NFL Hall of Fame in 1981 and held 11 NFL records when he retired including most points scored at 2,002. According to the San Francisco Chronicle in a feature about the first ever Fantasy Football League started in 1962 by Oakland Tribune sports writers & Oakland Raiders staff Blanda (then Houston’s QB) was the first ever Fantasy pick.
